Update, 09 July 2026: Repair works on Privlaka Bridge have been completed. According to Županijska lučka uprava Mali Lošinj, bridge operations resumed on 30 June 2026 at 18:00. Privlaka Passage is therefore once again plannable for crews. Before passing, crews should still check the current local opening times and daily information.
Marine traffic through the Privlaka Channel near Mali Lošinj was temporarily blocked in June 2026. The official notice came from the Županijska lučka uprava Mali Lošinj. The reason was repair work on the reducer of the turning mechanism of the movable Privlaka bridge on state road D100.
For crews, the detail still matters. This was not a general closure around Mali Lošinj. It affected the passage through the Privlaka Channel. During the work, the bridge could not open or turn for boats, so the passage was temporarily unavailable for sailing yachts, motor boats and higher craft that require a bridge opening.
Road traffic over the bridge continued as normal, according to the harbour authority. Hrvatske ceste was responsible for the repair. According to the official follow-up notice, the works were completed and bridge operations resumed on 30 June 2026 at 18:00.

The Privlaka Channel is a short and useful passage near Mali Lošinj. In normal operation, the mySea POI for the Privlaka Channel lists bridge openings at around 09:00 and 18:00. Those normal timings were not a solution during the repair period because the bridge could not turn. After the official resumption, the passage is plannable again, but it should still be checked locally like any movable bridge.
For crews, this remains mainly a routing issue. Anyone planning around Mali Lošinj, Cres or the Kvarner area can plan the passage again, but should avoid relying blindly on old routines and check opening times and daily information before departure.
Radio Jadranka added local context, referring to Ceste Rijeka: work was due to start on Friday, 12 June 2026, after the morning bridge opening, with completion expected on 1 July 2026.
